We approached Cory in 2019 because we had been fans of his music for quite some time. He was immediately enthusiastic and eager to tour the Netherlands with vocalist Cody Fry. Great fun, of course! Cory has an incredibly infectious positive energy. We released an album from those live performances in 2019 titled Live in Amsterdam.
Since then, we’ve always stayed in close touch, and Cory even composed a piece, Empire, for the orchestra. We weren’t done making music together yet. Cory came up with the idea of writing music specifically for and with the orchestra, and that’s how Starship Syncopation was born. By now, Cory knows the orchestra inside out, and we always keep in touch, should we want to reunite again in the future.
