The foundation’s objectives are:
a. To upkeep the Metropole Orkest, a pop and jazz orchestra with a symphonic ensemble that offers a broad repertoire, aimed at a wide and diverse audience, and at the highest possible artistic and qualitative level;
b. To establish the Metropole Orkest a leading (inter)nationally recognised orchestra for pop, jazz, and world music, thereby contributing to the development of orchestral, non-classical music;
c. To contribute to and stimulate the development of (amateur) musicians in the Netherlands through the Metropole Orkest, and all related activities that may promote this, all in the broadest sense of the word.
What is ANBI?
ANBI stands for Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling, which means: an organisation dedicated to the public good. Organisations with ANBI status meet certain conditions and enjoy tax benefits, such as tax deductions for donors and the organisation itself. The status is granted by the Dutch Tax Authorities and is intended to support charities and cultural institutions that serve society.

Board Composition:
The Metropole Orkest operates in accordance with the ‘Governance Code Cultuur’ with a Supervisory Board model. The director-manager is Mr. Andreas Fleischmann. The Supervisory Board consists of Laetitia Griffith (chair), and members Arlette Westdorp, Yassine Boussaid, Ramon Mesman, Marc Adriani, and Bas Erlings.

Remuneration Policy:
The Salaries of musicians and staff members are established in the collective labor agreement (CAO) of the Metropole Orkest. The members of the Supervisory Board do not receive any compensation.
