Cécile McLorin Salvant

LiveRecords

In 2016 we had the honour to share the stage with Cécile for the first time, for a show in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. In 2024, we did a four show run of Dutch halls, with a completely new show; meaningful songs selected by Cécile, arranged by Darcy James Argue. These rich and cinematic interpretations, turned out beautifully. Allowing both Cécile and the Metropole Orkest to really shine.

In 2026 we released the studio recordings of these interpretations and joined Cécile on stage during her North Sea Jazz residency. It remains an honour and a pleasure.

'This first sumptuous orchestral collection finds conductor Jules Buckley, Metropole Orkest and Darcy James Argue creating bravura settings which enable Salvant to experience the many devastations of love like a series of existential crises.'
