Jan Bastiani
3e Trombone
Jan studied Trombone at the conservatories of Hilversum and Amsterdam with Bart van Lier, Michel Tilkin and Ben van Dijk. In 1997 he graduated as Performing Musician and since 2005 he plays in the Metropole Orkest. Next tot his he plays in the Ives Ensemble and Insombio, and trombone teacher at the ‘Zeister Muziekschool’. Jan played freelance in several professional classical orchestras in the Netherlands and in ensembles in the Netherlands and abroad.
His musical hero is Bart van Lier, who was his teacher and is currently his colleague at the Metropole Orkest.
Jan’s passion next to music is food and wine.
