David Peijnenborgh

1st Violin

David studied Violin at the conservatories of Tilburg and Bussels and had classes from Kati Sebestyén. After his studies he followed master classes from Herman Krebbers. He played in Musica Ducis and Het Brabants Orkest. In Belgium he played as a substitute at the Vlamish Opera, the Orkest van de Munt, the Filharmonisch Orkest van Vlaanderen and Prima la Musica. Since 1998 he plays first violin at the Metropole Orkest. He made many tours and CD’s with several ensembles, like Malando and a tango quartet. He teaches at KunstPodium in Dongen.

His musical heroes are David Oistrakh, Maxim Vengerov, Itzhak Perlman, Maynard Ferguson, Stéphane Grapelli, Kurt Ellling, Joyce DiDonato.

Besides playing violin David likes cycle racing, skiing, traveling and visiting matches of his favourite soccer clubs.
