From the very first note, everything comes together: the power of African music and the rich orchestral sound of the Metropole Orkest. Angélique Kidjo takes center stage, blending her voice effortlessly with the symphonic textures surrounding her.
The concert revolves around African Symphony, in which iconic African songs are given a new orchestral form. The music, specially arranged by Derrick Hodge, forms the core of the program and is complemented by works from Kidjo’s own repertoire.
