On Friday November 20, Saturday November 21 and Sunday November 22, De Avond van de Filmmuziek (The Night of the Film Music) will return with a spectacular series of concerts celebrating the very best in film music. Under the baton of conductor Jules Buckley, the Metropole Orkest and het Nederlands Concertkoort will bring the most iconic and breathtaking film scores to life once again.
In just a few years, De Avond van de Filmmuziek, has grown into one of Europe’s largest and most celebrated film music events. What began as a single-night tribute at Koninklijk Concertgebouw has expanded into a multi-day experience, moving to the Ziggo Dome in 2019 to accommodate the ever-growing audience.
The program will feature the works of legendary film composers alongside the finest talents from the Netherlands, offering a mix of international classics and homegrown masterpieces.
In previous editions, Metropole Orkest has collaborated with renowned artists such as Lebo M (The Lion King), Steve Stevens (Top Gun), Anna Lapwood (Interstellar), Lavinia Meijer (Intouchables), Noa Wildschut (Schindler’s List), and Lakshmi (The Lord of the Rings). The guest artists for 2026 are still under wraps, promising an exciting surprise for concertgoers.
