In November 2023, the worldwide sensation DOMi & JD BECK will come to the Netherlands for concerts with the Metropole Orkest. Together with honorary conductor Jules Buckley, they will be visiting Royal Theater Carré, TivoliVredenburg, Theater aan het Vrijthof, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven and Amare.

During the collaboration between DOMi & JD Beck and Metropole Orkest, two worlds will collide, creating a unique and exciting musical journey. Metropole Orkest provides a warm and rich sound, DOMi & JD BECK add surprising and innovative tones. Together they create an interesting and amazing mix of genres that will appeal to both jazz and electronic music lovers.

DOMi & JD BECK’s music finds both humor and greatness in harmonic complexity, rhythmic shiftiness, and speed. Their acclaimed debut album NOT TiGHT, released by Anderson .Paak’s new label APESHIT in partnership with the legendary jazz label Blue Note Records, earned them two GRAMMY nominations including Best New Artist and features the likes of Thundercat, Herbie Hancock, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Mac DeMarco, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and .Paak himself. Since the album’s release the duo has since performed an unforgettable NPR Tiny Desk Concert, made national TV appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel Live, and been featured in the line-ups of music festivals across the world from Coachella to the North Sea Jazz Festival. Along the way, DOMi & JD BECK have sat in with Hancock and backed Thundercat, Ariana Grande, Eric André, and more; they also co-wrote “Skate” on .Paak’s GRAMMY-winning album with Bruno Mars as Silk Sonic.

The duo will share the stage with Metropole Orkest and Jules Buckley.  Playing jazz, pop, world music and film scores, Metropole Orkest has shared the stage with legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Pat Metheny, Brian Eno, Herbie Hancock, The Basement Jaxx and Bono. The MO invests just as much in playing with the next generation of stars like Kovacs, Robert Glasper, Snarky Puppy, Jacob Collier, Gregory Porter, Cory Wong and Louis Cole. The orchestra worked on four GRAMMY winning productions. Most recently for the recoding of Jacob Collier’s ‘All Night Long’.Conductor, arranger, curator and composer, Jules Buckley is a unique and rare breed of artist.
