Today’s students are the orchestra members of the future.
Therefore we’d like to present to you: the 6th Metropole Orkest Academy since 2015!
The Academy is designed for music- and music production students and offers projects that bring extra value to the education of the conservatories and other music programs.
The students will be working with chief conductor Jules Buckley for 4 days, assisted by coaches from the Metropole Orkest. This evening you can expect a smashing concert by young musical talents, bringing you today’s jazz and pop music. With a Metropole sound of course. The repertoire will be chosen from recent Metropole Orkest projects. You’ll hear songs by Snarky Puppy, Laura Mvula and Lalah Hathaway, but you’ll be surprised by some recent work from the students as well.
Soloist, orchestra member or vocalist: tonight all disciplines will be scouted from the Academy.
